Guitar Shop Lesson Agreement
We offer instruction in electric guitar, acoustic guitar, classical guitar, bass guitar, and piano-keyboard. Lessons are one hour long. The first half is based on music theory; the second half is a freelance jam session. One teacher per student; we do not offer group instruction. Scheduled lessons are conducted at the same time and day each week. Up to a dozen teachers are on staff to accommodate your needs. The student may change teachers whenever they desire. We teach seven days a week with over 200 time slots available each week. Minimum purchase is one month of lessons or four lessons. Lessons are $30 each and paid monthly, in advance. Payment is due on the 15th of each month. Automatic billing to your debit or credit card is highly recommended. Receipts and schedules will be provided to you.
Lessons are offered Monday thru Friday 12pm to 8pm; Saturday 10am to 6pm; and Sunday 12pm to 6pm. We are closed New Years Day, Easter, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. All other holidays we are open and conduct lessons.
Lessons may be cancelled and a make up lesson can be scheduled. If the student cancels at least four hours prior to the lesson, the student can make up the lesson at any time. These make up lessons can be scheduled with any teacher. We do not automatically re-schedule lessons and add them to your lesson package. Lessons cannot be made up if they are cancelled less than four hours before the lesson starts or if the student does not show up for the lesson, no exceptions. Lessons may be cancelled in person or by phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our store hours are noted below. After hours, please leave a message on our voice mail. To reduce confusion, we require that an adult cancel the lesson. Keep the name of the Guitarshop staff member you advise about the lesson cancel for your records. Saying something in passing to the teacher during a lesson may not effectively communicate to us that a lesson needs to be cancelled. Make sure we clearly understand your intent to cancel. We do not give refunds for unused lessons, only store credit. Past due lesson renewal time slots will be made available to other students.
We try very hard to provide our teachers with a schedule filled with students. The teacher loses income if a student misses their lesson. If a student cancels or reschedules 50% of their lessons in a month, they may be removed from the lesson program and their time slot could be made available to other students. Our staff will contact you to find a more convenient time before removing you from our schedule.
In some cases it will be necessary for us to provide a substitute teacher. In these instances, the lesson will be conducted with another teacher we have on our staff. This teacher will review your lesson history so they can be prepared for your lesson. In the event that a teacher is no longer able to teach your lesson, a new teacher will be provided for all future lessons.
